ABOUT

ABOUT

Glenda and Lee extend a warm welcome to you here at Labbadax House.

We invite you to a calm and peaceful "get away from it all" experience.

Here at Labbadax House we have just the two double bedrooms, so your time with us will be more like home, without too many other guests. We are also both keen crib players, and have had many enjoyable evenings playing doubles with our guests.

You can have a look at our reviews on Trip Advisor

We do have dogs on site, but they are not allowed amongst our guests, unless of course you would like to meet them.

We have a large, secure car parking area, for your peace of mind.

Unfortunately, due to higher public liability insurance premiums, we cannot cater for children.

The area has an abundance of peaceful and tranquil locations, whether it is birdwatching on the idyllic Norfolk coastline, Welney Wetlands trust or a visit to the royal Sandringham Estate. Museums and many other historical points of interest are all in a sensible distance from our location.

THINGS TO DO

Peckover House and Gardens

Elegant Georgian town house with wonderful walled garden

Peckover House is a secret gem, an oasis hidden away in an urban environment. A classic Georgian merchant's town house, it was lived in by the Peckover family for 150 years.

The Peckovers were staunch Quakers, which meant they had a very simple lifestyle - yet at the same time they ran a successful private bank. Both facets of their life can be seen as you wander through the house and gardens.

The gardens themselves are outstanding - 0.8 hectares (2 acres) of sensory delight, complete with orangery, summer-houses, croquet lawn and rose garden with more than 60 species of rose.

Welney Wetlands Centre

The friendly welcome our visitors receive is the perfect start to a day exploring wetlands, where incredible wildlife encounters take place everyday, set in the heart of the Fens.
Get set for 1000 adventure-filled acres of wildlife. Welney offers the perfect setting to create lasting memories as you explore the great outdoors.

Sandringham House and Gardens

There is something for everyone at Sandringham, the only problem you will have is fitting it all in! At the House, visitors can view the very rooms that Her Majesty the Queen and all members of the Royal Family spend Christmas, and indeed over 6 weeks every year.

Sandringham's gardens were opened to the public by King Edward VII in 1908, with the Sandringham Exhibition & Transport Museum following suit in 1930 opened by King George V. Sandringham House was opened to the public at Her Majesty The Queen's wish in her Silver Jubilee year of 1977.

Make sure to visit the Sandringham Exhibition & Transport Museum – home to the largest collection of Royal vehicles in any one place, including the first motor car ever owned by a member of the Royal Family. The first Royal car, the 6 hp 2-cylinder 1527 cc fitted with a mail phaeton body, was purchased by The Prince of Wales in 1900.

A visit wouldn’t be complete without a stroll around the Country Park. Visitors are in for a treat with 243 hectares to enjoy.
